My new job starts Monday, so I drove up to Greenville on Friday. Spent the weekend at a friends house. We went out on Friday to celebrate my birthday and me moving to Greenville, where we might have overdone it a little. My friend was pretty comatose yesterday so we didn’t do anything. I hung out until it was time for me to check into my hotel.

You missed the parking space, but it’s expected of a BMW driver.

Ironically it wasn’t me who parked it. Golf R guy and I were driving back from a friends bachelor party and we were trading drivers.

Looks like the exhaust isn’t stock either.

Mhm.
Suuuuuuuuuuure.
I know it wasn’t a VW owner who parked it because your car isn’t shrouded by a cloud of vape smoke.

It wasn’t in the best shape, the back window looked as though it doesn’t close fully allowing for some mold on the inside. I think it had high miles too.

The style 193s are among my favorite OEM E9X wheels.

Still depends on my job situation and whether or not I decide to save $ on my DD in order to upgrade the E46. As well as whether or not the wife will really let me get a manual DD.
But I’ve driven the 4 yesterday plus the Giulia and Chevy SS. I’d say the Giulia (too small and didn’t like the interior) and S5 (too much $ to be that nose heavy) are out.
Was surprised to like the E300 as much as I did. If I decided to reach a bit (not likely) I’d probably get an E400 wagon.

Greenville, SC? I was born there. But we moved when I was like three so I have basically no memory of it.

Besides those cars, I plan to drive the Stinger, GS-F (used), CTS V-sport, at least look at the Jag and Genesis, and maaaaybe an Infiniti or Volvo.
Anything else I should check out? Car needs to be roomy front and back, 4 doord, and suitable for DD duty. I’m very open to something used (would prefer a car 1-2 years old really to save monies).

You’re not real close to Macon, are you?

I actually liked the steering in the LCI F30. Kind of surprised you didn’t like it.
I don’t know what else you would like out there. I do like how the CPO Mercedes Benzes can be purchased with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty.

The BMW’s steering was better than the Audi or the Benz, really (and they’re ALL better than my GS 350)- but the Honda really was a lot better than the 3 Germans.
BTW, all 4 test drives took place over the span of 2 1/2 hours, at 4 different dealerships- I was determined to be efficient!
A CPO E-class would be high on the list- - but it’s nearly impossible to find a W213 6 cylinder CPO car yet. Alternately, I could get a cheap W212 E350 and spend monies on an E90M3/Boxster etc., I suppose.
The 440i is definitely still on the list - - possibly a special order manual. Sales guy told me 6-8 weeks and offered me an M3 test drive to get a feel for the clutch/shifter, which I will CERTAINLY take him up on another day.
Right now, in some order, the Chevy SS, 440i, and E-class are the leading contenders. Biggest issue the the BMW is that the rear seat room won’t be as much as my wife likes (the other two have a lot more room in back).
Finally - in the M-B showroom, they had a Piedmont Green Metallic E300 on the floor - - a stunning color in person, you would love it.
